Vie Ferrate and Bocchette

RB-2008.08 Bocchette 032

A via ferrata, iron path in English, klettersteig in German, is quite literally a route with fixed “protection” that aids travelers in moving safely through the mountains along ledges and the Via ferrate and the Bocchette are some of the most beautiful excursions in the area: this network of trails loops around the heights of the central Brenta dolomite Mountains and allows less experienced climbers take in the Alpine scenery in complete safety.

Several alpine guides and members of the Alpine group, Società degli Alpinisti Tridentini (SAT), including the celebrated alpine guide Bruno Detassis who also manages the Brentei lodge, had the bright idea to connect natural climbing ledges so non-experts might experience the dolomite mountain chain while maintaining the pristine nature of the area that these mountains command.

Mountain guides in Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo organize excursions and will supply the necessary equipment.

naturale della catena dolomitica in modo non invasivo, testimoniando così la volontà di questi alpinisti di rendere accessibile anche a chi non lo è questa esperienza, mantenendo un’etica di profondo rispetto per la montagna.
